It is important to develop the skill of passing the certification exam fast and successfully. Here are 3 tips to help you pass any theoretical cloud exam.

1. First, you need to know what you’re being tested on and know the theories behind it. Learn the basics of any DevOps program or skill based on your level of expertise, then choose resources that fit your learning style and budget. All you need to do is understand the basics as fast as possible.

2. Second, when you’re adept on the theory, start doing and practicing. Instead of using practice exams as a knowledge check, think of these as additional learning exercises and a means to build your skills. Start with buying and downloading practice tests. On review mode, read the questions, look at the answer options and choose your answer, then view answers and explanations after each question. Regardless of whether your answer was right or wrong, search for the learning page that discusses the correct answer.

3. Third, take the chance and be ready to try again. When you’ve learned the theories and practiced on tests, do an honest self-assessment on how ready you feel to take the exam. You don’t have to know everything about every topic – it is neither feasible nor realistic in today’s job market and in life, in general. So, take a leap when you feel about 70% sure about the exam – if you pass, then your goal is achieved and move on to the next one. But if you don’t on your first attempt, it’s okay! Use the second time as another learning opportunity and use the questions from the real exam as reference. Remember the topics you felt unsure about and items you had little knowledge about.
